How is our rubber underlay different?
Ordinary "foam rubber" carpet underlays have air filled bubbles captured in the foam. These deflate over time.
"Waffle rubber" underlays use fillers of clay and limestone. The fillers are glued together on a relatively small surface area and the bonds break down quite quickly, especially in high use areas. This results in reduced underlay thickness, increased carpet wear, less underfoot cushioning and more dust particles that can cause allergies.
Pinnacle Eco-Comfort® rubber underlay uses the compressibility of 100% natural rubber. When the weight is lifted the molecules return to their original shapes.
